Thank you for the article!
I was attempting to follow the "RULES" at first, but changed. It has felt so natural to co-sleep and to breastfeed, and yet I had a negative feeling because of the campaign against co-sleeping. I feel so much better now, that I see that there are questions about that study everything was originally based on, and that it is considered beneficial by medical professionals as well!
Thank you!

A fellow attachment parent from my online mom's group is under attack by the police in her country (the UK) and one of the practices under suspicion is co-sleeping. She's been an attachment parent for 5 years now but is slowly yielding to the pressure in small ways, but of all the AP practices, she wants to continue co-sleeping with her 5-year-old daughter. She strongly believes her daughter would be traumatized if this practice was stopped without her daughter's consent. She wants to build a strong case in the event that there is any serious threat that her daughter will be taken away.

Is there any research that shows co-sleeping is beneficial for children around 5 years old, as in older kids? Anything accessible to laypeople, especially available on the Internet, would be incredibly useful.

Thanks,
Patty
