Please visit www.nvic.org to check out information about polio vaccinations and other stuff. Doctor or not, you are not well informed on the idea of measles and polio being subdued because of vaccines. Those vaccines were more problematic than the disease and in some instances actually caused the disease. I am a firm believer in the fact that proper sanitary conditions, better water (until recently) and better personal hygiene is more responsible for helping to eradicate these diseases than anything else. I don't say that lightly because I have a brother-in-law who had polio which came directly from the polio vaccine. His mother was a nurse and she took him to Mayo clinic where he stayed until he was almost 13 years old, having been 9 at the time of the vaccination. Even when he left the hospital it was with leg braces. He is now 65 and has had Alzheimers disease (very bad case) since he was 53. I also believe the polio shot might be partially responsible for this condition. When we shoot stuff into children's bodies not knowing the collateral damage, it seems some of them pay a high, steep price.
